The California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office, within the California Technology Agency, allows
local police and sheriff's agencies to be reimbursed for 9-1-1 educational materials if the agency is
a recognized Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) - a location where emergency telephone calls are
received.
This means you may receive your personalized "Connecting With Our Community" education panels related to
9-1-1 emergency communications topics for free after reimbursement from the state!
WHAT ARE THEY?
Perfect for community events, safety fairs, Neighborhood Watch, or block party visits, the "Connecting With Our Community" outreach panel series presents public safety topics in easy-to-use visual display boards that provide quality community education while enhancing the professional look of your outreach table, event booth, meeting or community presentation. The 9-1-1 related education panels can be used by your communications staff or any other member of your agency for public presentations. Help your community
members learn about what using 9-1-1 really means, how it works and what they can expect when they call 9-1-1 for help. See the Kids Call 9-1-1 Too! panel here. It's a large file so it may take a few seconds to open.
WHAT YOU GET
Your agency will receive a package that helps you educate your community about using the 9-1-1 system. It includes two personalized 9-1-1 education panels for use at outreach events, community meetings, safety fairs, block parties, Neighborhood Watch meetings and more!
